about

After making "Event Horizon", I could not really figure out what to do with Tidal Force. I kept alternating between putting the name to sleep and releasing stuff under my own name, trying to assemble a live band under the name, or keeping using Tidal Force as a solo alias.

Then HC, who was in the band in the early days, contacted me to ask if I was interested in making some tracks with him under the name. That was exactly what I had been looking for! We sent some material back and forth, adding new parts to each other's tunes.

These two tracks are the first results of that collaboration. "Earthrise" was originally a beat-oriented piece by HC called "Zen", which I constructed a whole new track from, and "Wolfsbane" was a guitar-driven piece I had been working on, which HC added a lot of new layers to, which made it much more exciting and powerful than when I was demoing it.

There is more on the way - hopefully there will be a whole new Tidal Force album down the line - but for now, we are releasing these two tracks because they are too good to have lying around. It feels great to welcome HC back to Tidal Force, and I am sure it will be fun and exciting to collaborate on even more material.
